Becky Lawson
Chair
Becky joined the YWCA Helena Board in 2021 and is honored to serve alongside others advancing the mission to eliminate racism, empower women, and promote dignity and justice for all.
Becky is a licensed architect with 17 years of experience specializing in healthcare design. She has led the planning and delivery of complex renovation and new construction projects, partnering with providers to create environments that support healing, operational efficiency, and long-term community impact.
She supports the YWCA because she believes that everyone deserves a safe, comfortable, and foundational space to live, recover, and strive for a new beginning. Becky understands that the environments people inhabit directly influence their goals, thoughts, and emotional well-being. With the YWCA providing such impactful services, she sees her role as helping shape spaces that strengthen and support that mission.
Much like the YWCA’s purpose, Becky’s work is rooted in creating environments where people feel safe, supported, and valued. She is especially passionate about aligning design with evolving models of care and expanding access to supportive environments for underserved populations.
Outside of her professional work, Becky is committed to mentorship, continuous learning, and community engagement. She loves spending time with her husband and two girls as well as and watercolor painting.
